Welcome to Self Love!

Everyone loves some personal art from time to time; take this prompt as an excuse to draw something for yourself!
Have fun and doodle to your heart's content!

 

art requirements:

Your prompt MUST link back to the Prompt Gallery. A link to discord/sta.sh/or some other image hosting website will be declined.
Characters MUST be linked appropriately to their ML.
Do NOT attach items or currency or adjust the rewards. Prompts will always give rewards in Fein, you can use the ATM in the General Shop if you want Star Shards!

Anthro vesper art is permitted! The character must retain all vesper traits aside from being in an anthro form.

writing requirements:

You MUST link to a Google Doc that is able to be viewed without requesting permission. If mods need permission to view or cannot view it, it'll be declined for that to be fixed.
Characters MUST be linked appropriately to their ML.
Do NOT attach items or currency or adjust the rewards. Prompts will always give rewards in Fein, you can use the ATM in the General Shop if you want Star Shards!
Writing will not permit anthro or humanized versions of vespers, unfortunately, as it can be a little harder to tell in writing that they are still vespers.

Writing MUST be PG-13, please don't be too mature. Sensitive topics are permitted to be mentioned but they MUST be properly disclaimered in the Comments and not in detail. Gore/violence is permitted to be more detailed but it also MUST be disclaimed for the moderators. If writing is too obscene you may not receive rewards. If you think it might make the average person uncomfortable to read, it's best to go ahead and warn about it and keep details sparse!

It is also preferred writing be in legible English. While we have non-American moderators, for the sake of easy access by any moderator, we ask it be readable in English, please! There is no minimum word requirement, nor is it required to have perfect English or grammar or anything like that! You are not graded on skill.
If the story does not answer the prompt then it won't be accepted. A submission that is too short to not answer the prompt can be declined.

You will not receive bonuses based on character count, regardless of who owns them.

 

grading criteria:

Body
Bust: Must be a shoulder minimum! So shoulders and above, anything less does not count.
Halfbody: Must be hip up at the least, or if a fullbody piece has less than 3 limbs showing.
Chibi: Must meet halfbody or fullbody requirements. Must be simplified, cutesy, and cartoonish. If your style is chibi-esque already, make a note of it in the Comments of your submission so that it does not impact on grading. Chibi-esque style is permitted for busts as well, it's not separate.
Fullbody: Must be shin/ankle up at the least. At least 3 limbs must be 3/4ths visible (arms and legs)

Color
No Color: Monochrome essentially! CANNOT be lineart on a blank background, there must be some amount of color to it, but it does not need to be properly colored.
Flat Color: Colors are placed appropriately to the character's design.
No Shading: No shading, or extremely minimal shading in some areas (eyes and/or hair but nowhere else for example) is present.
Cell Shade: Shading is noticeable throughout the piece. It is hard-edged and focuses on ambient lighting.
Rendered: Shading is soft-edged and may or may not be dramatic lighting. Can be applied to painting-esque pieces but not necessarily; applied to more thoughtful and softer shading.

Quality
Messy: Lines are very broken and messily overlapping throughout the drawing, AND/OR colors spill outside the lines and are messily applied.
Clean: Lines are mostly cleaned up but may be messy in a few places, AND coloring stays within the lines.
Lineless: No lineart is present, does not need to be shaded. Messy can still apply if features are undistinguished enough, or parts are not fully colored in.

Background
No Background: A transparent background.
Pattern Background: May be partially transparent, features completely or part of a pattern or gradient.
Simple Background: No foreground is present, except perhaps at the edges. Has a very nondescript, undefined background. Depicts scenery or location.
Scene Background: Foreground is present and incorporated into the overall piece. The background is more clear and depicts depth. Depicts scenery or location.

Writing

✦ Every 1 word will earn 1 fein. So if you write 322 words, you earn 322 Fein.
✦ Every 500 words will earn an additional 50 fein on top of your standard rewards.
✦ Every 800 words will give you a Seasonal Pet!
✦ Yes the bonuses can stack, so if you write 1600 words you can get 2 pets and an extra 150 fein!

Everyone loves gift art, even if they feel awkward accepting it; you can give a gift monthly and spread some cheer about the community :D!
Either by asking for one or by randomly selecting a ML entry to doodle off of! Have fun and doodle to your heart's content! A character you do not own must be the center focus of the art or writing you submit for this prompt! It is always encouraged to collaborate or consult with the owner to accurately represent a vesper's personality in your work!
